They have a wagon with a vacuum cleaner and one that polishes the track to get rid of oil etc. I bought the H0 version, and it is the best investment ever. Sometimes it's on layouts where the track and benchwork is done, and now he wants to actually run trains. Other times is fixing what he's done.

Yes, I'm using crimped connectors. Spade terminals are much better than trying to bend the wire under the screw, especially if it's stranded wire! Maybe I'll do a post showing all of the different crimping tools that I use and what I do with them.

TimAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17821035901549418734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645475163705646661.post-71008161347191080242014-11-28T12:15:45.161-08:002014-11-28T12:15:45.161-08:00Looks like a neat layout with some good operations...Looks like a neat layout with some good operations!
Any time frame for the golden spike?Allen H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11171623061807868579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645475163705646661.post-71791377627954563502014-11-28T12:14:38.401-08:002014-11-28T12:14:38.401-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Allen H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11171623061807868579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645475163705646661.post-74642564771253011412014-11-25T16:09:43.434-08:002014-11-25T16:09:43.434-08:00Thanks Allen. All of those wires are just because I'm using current sensing detectors and don't like relying on Code 55 rail and rail joiners to get the electricity to where it needs to go. I'm also using digital (NCE).
Don't make a special trip just yet, let me get a bit more done first. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17821035901549418734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645475163705646661.post-46527997957052325282014-08-06T14:57:42.034-07:002014-08-06T14:57:42.034-07:00Good to see you're getting started now :-)

I decided to go digital, now I'm almost down to just two wires from the control unit to the power track (or whatever you would call that one track receiving power for the whole set).
